Casinos contribute $69.8 million to the state
(Baltimore) — Maryland’s six casinos combined to generate $162,914,432 in revenue from slot machines and table games during June 2024, a decrease of $802,798 (-0.5%) compared to June 2023.
Casino gaming contributions to the state during June 2024 totaled $69,842,695, an increase of $412,462 (0.6%) compared to June 2023.
Contributions to the Education Trust Fund during June 2024 were $50,369,843, a decrease of $63,342 (-0.1%) compared to June 2023. Casino gaming revenues also support the communities and jurisdictions where the casinos are located, Maryland’s horse racing industry, and small, minority- and women-owned businesses.
Maryland’s six privately owned casinos offer both slot machines and table games: MGM National Harbor in Prince George’s County; Live! Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County; Horseshoe Casino Baltimore in Baltimore City; Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County; Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County; and Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County.
The gaming revenue totals for June 2024 are as follows:
MGM National Harbor (2,304 slot machines, 207 table games)
$68,151,492 in June 2024, a decrease of $891,610 (-1.3%) from June 2023
Live! Casino & Hotel (3,843 slot machines, 179 table games)
$60,399,039 in June 2024, an increase of $2,419,413 (4.2%) from June 2023
Horseshoe Casino (1,380 slot machines, 115 table games)
$14,112,716 in June 2024, a decrease of $1,828,493 (-11.5%) from June 2023
Ocean Downs Casino (873 slot machines, 19 table games)
$8,135,862 in June 2024, a decrease of $543,144 (-6.3%) from June 2023
Hollywood Casino (721 slot machines, 23 table games)
$7,523,001 in June 2024, an increase of $568,594 (8.2%) from June 2023
Rocky Gap Casino (630 slot machines, 16 table games)
$4,592,322 in June 2024, a decrease of $527,559 (-10.3%) from June 2023
