The Maryland Lottery today announced that Hollywood Casino Perryville generated September revenue of $2,075,838.53 during only four days of operation. The first of Maryland’s slots facilities, originally slated to open September 30, opened three days ahead of schedule on September 27 with 1,500 slot machines.
The facility averaged nearly $346 per day per machine in gross gaming revenue. A Department of Legislative Services study projected gross gaming revenue of $210 per machine per day. Below is a detailed breakdown of the gross gaming revenue and fund disbursement for Hollywood Casino Perryville’s September 2010 operation:

“The money generated from slots will benefit many important state programs, most significantly public education,” said Maryland Lottery Director Stephen Martino. “This casino opened ahead of schedule and without incident. We are pleased that it has created 350 new jobs, employing most of its workers from Cecil and Harford counties.”

Hollywood Casino Perryville, located just off I-95 in Cecil County, offers 1,500 state-of-the-art slot machines, a grill and buffet, gift shop and parking for more than 1,600 vehicles.
